Why FaithfulGive?

FaithfulGive is a three day online giving event that connects biblical donors with Kingdom minded nonprofit ministries. When you give during these three days, your donation goes even further with every donation possibly being eligible for prizes, scholarship awards, and a shared pool of bonus funds that could go to Anchor!

It’s more than just a one-time donation. It’s a chance to multiply your impact for the Kingdom of God! Through FaithfulGive, we join together in the spirit of collective generosity, experiencing amplified blessings that extend beyond what any of us could do alone.

Why Anchor?

"Fostering Deeper Understanding through Student Experiences"

These Student Experiences shape hearts and minds in ways the classroom alone cannot. They help students wrestle with truth, deepen their faith, and see how God is at work in the world around them. But opportunities like these are only possible when friends like you step in to help!

Your gift to FaithfulGive makes it possible for every student to take part in these life-changing experiences! Whether exploring the narrative of Scripture, engaging with other world religions while showing wisdom and grace, seeing worldviews lived out on the streets of New York, or serving alongside believers in Guatemala, these experiences help our students to think more about what they've been learning, but also give them opportunities to develop their biblical roots deeper as well!

Biblical Narrative Adventure (9th/10th Grades)
This retreat traces the grand storyline of Scripture: Creation, Fall, Redemption, and Restoration, with each day immersing participants in one chapter of God’s story.
  • Creation: We explore how our creativity reflects the image of our Creator. Through making art, sharing in a gallery of our work, savoring good food, and observing the beauty of nature, we celebrate God’s original design.
  • Fall: Brokenness enters our experience. Artwork is torn, sins are symbolized by heavy rocks carried in our backpacks, silence strains relationships, and even our work is marred by frustration, mirroring the reality of life under sin.
  • Redemption: Christ’s saving work brings freedom and hope. We lay down the weight of sin, transform broken art into something beautiful, and rejoice in the forgiveness and new life offered in Him.
  • Restoration: Our journey culminates in a whitewater rafting adventure on the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers, a vivid reminder of the joy, beauty, and renewal we anticipate when God makes all things new.

World Religions Survey (11th/12th Grades)
Our destination is the Boston area, where we focus on surveying a variety of world religions. Students visit religious institutions including a Unitarian Universalist church, a Hindu temple, a Jewish synagogue, an Islamic educational society, a Christian Science church, a Mormon church, and a Buddhist temple. At each location, hosts respond to predetermined questions such as “What are your sacred texts?” and “Is there an afterlife?” Out of respect, we do not challenge their beliefs during the visits. Instead, we debrief and logically analyze their perspectives together on the bus afterward. These encounters consistently leave a lasting impact, as students’ curiosity, respect, and thoughtful engagement not only impress the hosts but also provide a positive representation of Christian students while deepening their own understanding of different worldviews.

Guatemala Calling Trip (11th/12th)
Our destination is the village of Magdalena in the mountains of Guatemala, where juniors and seniors explore the intersection of calling, career, and the needs of the world. Students choose a ministry site, such as physical therapy, entrepreneurship, trades, athletics, ministry, or education, and serve alongside Guatemalan Christians. As they work, they see how God uses the skills and talents of His people to bring lasting good to communities. At the same time, they build relationships that open doors to share the Gospel, gaining a deeper understanding of how their own gifts can be used for God’s purposes.

Worldviews in the Wild (11th/12th)
Following their classwork in Comparative Worldviews, students travel to New York City to explore how belief systems shape history, culture, civics, science, and religion. Students visit sites such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the American Museum of Natural History, the Statue of Liberty, the 9/11 Memorial, and the Brooklyn Tabernacle. Along the way, they serve with a local ministry and engage in faculty-led discussions that connect classroom learning with real-world experiences, deepening their understanding of how Christianity makes the most sense of reality.
Our first experience is scheduled for February 2026, and we would love for you to partner with us to help students go beyond the classroom!  These trips provide unique opportunities for students to deepen their faith and experience how God is at work in the world!
