EITC Rundown
The leadership of Anchor Christian Academy endeavors to provide scholarships through the
Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (PA EITC). This state tax credit program is
instrumental in helping economically qualified families to access the ACA mission to...
Collaborate with parents to educate and biblically anchor students.
What is the PA EITC Program? A state tax credit program that supports economically qualified
students with private school tuition assistance. The contributor receives a state tax credit based on a
percentage of the amount contributed - up to 90% of your contribution!
Who Can Participate?
● PA businesses that pay any of the following taxes: corporate net income tax; capital
stock/foreign franchise tax; bank shares tax; and others.
● Individuals who are PA residents, employed or invested in a for-profit business, and who pay
at least $500 in PA personal income tax.
How Does It Work? Eligible donors receive up to 90% of their contribution applied as a tax credit
against their business and/or personal state tax liability.
Scholarship Contribution $1,000
PA Tax Credit (90% of contribution) ($900)
Net Out of Pocket (can be deducted on federal taxes) $100
Sample Scenario:
Company ABC typically pays annual PA state taxes of $900. After receiving approval to participate,
Company ABC contributes $1,000 through the PA EITC program, and receives a K1 form that confirms
a tax credit of $900 (90% of their $1,000 contribution). The K1 form is submitted with their annual tax
filing to reduce their PA state tax liability.
Empower your money, turn $100 into a $1,000 scholarship contribution!
